پادشاه نوروزی

english

1 Law:: (literally: The King of the New Year) : In ancient Persia, Iranians reveled in clothing a commoner in the garb of the king on the New Year’s Day (that is March 21) and indulged on this kind of shrewd and sarcastic revelry usually for a few days. The latent idea was probably to vent their hatred of despotic kings. This word, in addition to مير نوروزي was later on used metaphorically in reference to unstable and short-lived governments.
